As we look back we praise God for Discipleship Centre and celebrate His love. It is indeed, a privilege for me to be a part of this ministry to witness to God's love, concern and care for the poor and needy. Psalm 113:7 says, ”He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from ash heap”. It is a great blessing to witness to the fulfillment of God’s word through the ministry of DC.
God not only loves those who are poor and needy but encourages us to take care of them and provide for their needs. Proverbs 19:17 says “whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay Him for His deed” Hebrews 13:16 says "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." At DC when God’s love and concern is shared it is seen, there is a smile and glow of hope in the lives of people. They can feel God’s presence in their lives and that, they are not alone in their struggles. I appreciate our ED Mr. Murugesan for his Godly leadership, which has kept all staff united and focused on selfless service. In spite of some setbacks in financial support the work continues to bear fruit. Each and every staff works joyfully, this is the strength of DC.
I am thankful to the Lord for this wonderful privilege to be a part of this ministry. I am also thankful to our Government for their support and cooperation in bringing about social transformation through DC. The contributions of the board members, compassion and sacrificial love of all our Donor organizations and individuals is commendable. This keeps the love of God flowing to bless the poor and needy by meeting their needs. I am indeed grateful to them. As we move ahead we have faith in our God who works for the extension of His kingdom to establish a society which has justice, equality and love for each other. May the Lord bless all who partner in the work of DC with Joy of serving Him.
